Alan Grinsteinner

Alan and Kay Grinsteinner began their journey in 1984. They, and their two daughters have lived their lives in service to the communities they lived in, and to this great nation.

Alan completed 31 years in the Army, his daughter 12 years, and his son-in-law is still serving with 14 years. Along with his military service, Alan has been an instructor for over 20 years in multiple rural communities in South Dakota. Not only was he instructing in the classroom, but Alan was also a varsity coach in multiple sports and an advisor in co-curricular activities. His programs received public acclaim with two television stories appearing on the nightly news as well as multiple articles in local and regional newspapers.

Alan has received several distinctive awards for his work. While deployed as the Operations Officer for a military police company, Alan was awarded a Bronze Star. He was recognized with a Federal Legion of Merit when he retired. As a High School Instructor, Alan was a NEWMAST (NASA Educational Worshop for Mathematics and Science Teachers) awardee in 1992, a Congressional Fellow in 1995, and was a Presidential Awardee in Teaching Mathematics and Science in 1993.

Alan currently is working as a Product Manager for End 2 End Technologies, integrating emerging industrial internet of things (IIoT) tools into current business paradigms increasing efficiency in operations. Kay is working as a Chief Financial Officer for a not-for-profit agency, providing health services to the underserved throughout western South Dakota.
