What began as a vision to create a permanent place of remembrance became an extraordinary gathering of patriotism, brotherhood, and community on Sunday, August 9, 2026. During the 86th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, the Hero’s Foundation & Outreach Pentagon Memorial Dedication drew an overwhelming crowd to the historic Stone House Saloon near Belle Fourche, South Dakota. Motorcycles filled the grounds as riders and supporters arrived to take part in the historic occasion. The turnout was so remarkable that traffic reportedly stretched seven miles back toward Belle Fourche, with a seemingly endless line of motorcycles and vehicles making their way to the dedication. The tremendous response demonstrated the deep respect the motorcycle community holds for America’s veterans, first responders, and all those who have dedicated their lives to serving others.
The dedication featured special appearances and speeches by Robert Patrick, acclaimed Hollywood actor and passionate veterans’ advocate; New York Myke (Myke Shelby), combat veteran and longtime motorcycle community leader; and Brian Klock, founder of Klock Werks and renowned motorcycle builder. Together, they helped mark the dedication of the Pentagon Memorial and its accompanying Hero’s Walk, where engraved memorial bricks permanently recognize individuals whose lives have made a difference through service and sacrifice. Surrounded by motorcycles, veterans, families, and supporters from across the country, the ceremony represented far more than the unveiling of a memorial. It was a powerful demonstration of unity, respect, and the enduring bonds that connect those who serve with those who remember.
The overwhelming attendance made the dedication a defining moment for Hero’s Foundation & Outreach. The Pentagon Memorial now stands as a permanent destination where future generations can pause, reflect, and honor the sacrifices made by military personnel, first responders, and everyday heroes. As the crowds departed and the sound of motorcycles faded into the Black Hills, one thing was clear: the memorial may be built of stone, but its true foundation is the people who came together to ensure that our heroes are never forgotten.
